From potlucks at work to parties with friends, from dinner with the family to church events, ’tis the season – food is EVERYWHERE! And since it’s commonly known that bacon makes everything better, you’ll want to show up at the next function bearing these delicious bite-sized morsels! Candied bacon gives Little Smokie links a lift of fa-la-la-la FLAVOR in this simple recipe from Bronner’s Flavorful Favorite’s 2nd Edition!
Finger foods are such a gift, aren’t they? We thought these little sausages looked so classy served on a platter, which is perfect for a party. But they are also such a low-fuss recipe to make and serve, which is awesome because there are so many other things to think about and prepare during the busy Christmas season. Popping one (or two, or three … hey, who’s counting?) of these in your mouth is sure to give you a peaceful moment to dream of sugarplums and fairies. Okay, forget the sugarplums. You’ve got CANDIED BACON in your mouth! What more do you need?! Oh, maybe the recipe? How about that …
– 1 pkg. bacon
– 1 pkg. Little Smokie links
– 3/4 c. brown sugar
1. Heat oven to 350°.
2. Line a baking pan with foil.
3. Cut each bacon strip in half.
4. Wrap one piece of bacon around each sausage and place on the baking pan.
5. When finished, sprinkle brown sugar on top.
6. Bake for 35-45 minutes, depending how well done you like your bacon.
7. Use toothpicks to serve.
